Non-Characterized Regulations
I. Users must be thirteen years of age to register an account. In compliance with Proboards Terms of Service (TOS), all members must be at least thirteen years of age. This rule stands regardless of privileges granted by parents/guardians, and members must abide by it at all times. Accounts found in violation of this rule will be removed. Individuals who consistently try to access the site with accounts whilst knowingly underage may have their IPs banned for up to a year.
II. Harsh language is limited to characterized areas of the site. Wer Bist Du allows swearing and mild language in characterized areas of the site. Members are not allowed to use harsh languages outside of the characterized areas. Harsh languages is limited to swearing and mild language that is not sexually implicit, however. Any content found in violation of this rule and Proboards TOS will be edited or removed. Any content found in violation of this rule alone will be flagged, and the original poster will be asked to rewrite their post to abide by this rule.
III. Content that is sexually implicit is not allowed on the site. Written content, images/photography, videos, and posted links to content offsite must not contain sexually implicit content. Written characterized content can contain mild suggestive languages generally limited to hugging, kissing, ect, but must not break this rule. Content posted to the site found in violation of this rule will have the offensive content removed from the site. Links posted to the site, found in violation of this rule, will have their links removed from the site.
IV. Registered members are encouraged to keep their accounts active. Individuals who want to join are encouraged to sign up for and account to access the site so that they can post content to the site. They are encouraged to remain active members of the site once they have registered an account with Wer Bist Du, unless they have an away thread. Valid away threads that will protect certain accounts from activity checks should contain an away date and an estimated return date.
IV-A. Users are allowed to register one non-characterized, main account. The "OOC Account" is a group that is barred from accessing characterized (IC) areas of the site. It is an OOC Account for members who prefer to use multiple IC Accounts for each of their characters. The OOC Account is not regulated by activity checks, but is encouraged to keep their OOC Accounts active. An OOC Account is no longer considered active if their is no activity (logging in or posting) within six months of the account.
IV-B. Users are allowed multiple (unlimited) active IC Accounts. Ic Accounts aer barred from non-characterized areas of the site. Users who register multiple IC Accounts must be able to manage each of their accounts and ensure that they are kept active. An IC Account is considered "active" if there is a characterized post made at least once a month on the account. IC Accounts are subjected to random activity checks to ensure of their activity, and the original user of the account will be notified if an account is deviating from activity severely so (more than two months without a post). IC Accounts are put under a grace period during times where the user has a valid Away post, through the duration of their valid Away times stated.
IV-C. Users who want a single account for both, are allowed Mixed accounts. Mixed Accounts are allowed to access both characterized and non-characterized areas of the site. Mixed Accounts are limited to users who only want to access the site through a single account, and uses this single account for both OOC and IC purposes. Mixed accounts are regulated by biannual activity checks, and are considered active if they have one post once a month, unless they have a valid Away thread.
V. Users must have permission to post any content to the site. All content on the site must have valid permission to be posted to the site. Written works, images/photographs, and media posted onto the site must either have permission to be shared with the site and adequate accreditation, or must be the poster's original creations. Plagiarism and stolen works are not accepted, and content found in violation of this rule will be removed from the site.
V-A. all characterized written works must be the author's original work. Whenever a written work is posted in a characterized area of the site (roleplay post or reply), it must be the poster's original content. Users are not permitted to borrow other written works of art for their pieces. Exceptions are small snips of written work (ECT a song) that fits the original written dialogue and does not violate any copyright laws. Another exception is when a member gives another member temporary or permanent custody of a character.
VI. No individual utilizing the site - guests or registered users - should harass other guests or registered users on the site. Harassment constitutes, but is not limited to, "flaming", stalking, or otherwise intimidating or attacking other users of the site. This rule applies to all users of the site, and protects all users of the site, regardless of registration of an account (members) or not (guests). All users in violation of this rule will be given a written warning through a private message. Repeat offenders of the rule may face temporary or permanent suspension of their accounts.
